Departments
Business
Business, Career Education, and Computer Technology courses are offered
at the high school level to prepare students for occupations in business and
computer-related vocational areas or to better prepare them for further
career preparation at technical or post-secondary educational institutions.
Career & Technical Education
The goal of each Career and Technical Education program is to familiarize
students with manufacturing, industrial tools, processes, and procedures in
order to gain knowledge and insight into career choices. This training and
learning may serve as preparation for technical college or for immediate
employment.
English
Our English courses are writing intensive and also build literacy through
reading, speaking, and listening. They incorporate relevant texts and writing
assignments to grow strong communication skills in our students.
Family & Consumer Science
The mission of the Family and Consumer Science department is to strengthen
individuals, families, and the community through education. Much of the
subject matter in the courses applies to gainful employment as well as
personal use. Skills in the field frequently lead to rewarding occupations.
Fine Arts
Our Fine Arts courses specialize in unlocking students' creativity. We offer
courses in the visual arts through several different media and the
performing arts in both instrumental and vocal music.
Mathematics
Our Math courses provide a solid foundation for all careers while our more
advanced classes prepare students for numerous careers within Science,
Technology, and Engineering.
